Archaic necropolis with graves along the slope arranged in parallel orders.
The chronology of the tombs proceeds from top to bottom, the oldest (7th - 6th century B.C.) are on the level and by the roadside, while the later ones are encountered descending towards the Biedano (4th - 3rd century B.C.). The best known is the Tomb of the Sphinx in the Archaeological Museum in Viterbo.
From Porta Marina, we walk along a section of the Via Clodia and past the Ponte della Rocca (a Roman bridge dated between the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC. C. in tufa), we reach the necropolis of Pian del Vescovo.
