Another of the necropolises that certainly belonged to the Etruscan settlement of San Giuliano is the San Simone necropolis, divided into a south hill and a north hill, also rich in tombs of various types.

BRIEF HISTORICAL NOTES
It houses, among others, pit, chamber, dado, semidado and mock dado burials with valuable external architectural elements (e.g. Doric doors) mainly from the 7th-6th and 4th-3rd centuries BC.
FLYING VISIT ROUTE
The Purple Trail 6 'San Simone-San Giuliano' allows, with a few short detours, to see all the main tombs and points of interest within this section of the necropolis.
DON'T MISS
The medieval rupestrian church of S. Simone (which gives its name to the area) carved out of a 6th-century B.C. Etruscan tomb containing a 13th-century fresco depicting the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple.
