Barbarano Romano

Barbarano Romano town rich in history

Barbarano Romano, an ancient Etruscan city, then Roman, and now a typical medieval village full of Etruscan necropolises, has collected all its ancient roots within the Museum of the Rock Necropolises and the Naturalistic Museum of the Marturanum Park.
Another attraction of this great little city, in addition to the presence of important archaeological sites, religious and civil architecture, is also the food and wine culture and the traditions that recall the past and boost the economy of its inhabitants.
Barbarano Romano is the managing body of the Marturanum Regional Park and encourages more and more young people to stay rather than leave, because they are protected by the genuineness and simplicity that make this village stand out, which is in fact an open-air museum.
