Blera beautiful town of Etruscan origins
The town of Blera is located in the province of Viterbo and has its origins between the 8th and 7th centuries B.C., as demonstrated by the numerous Etruscan necropolises around the town.
Surrounded by natural and archaeological beauties such as: the archaeological area of San Giovenale and Luni on the Mignone, a prehistoric and late Etruscan settlement, are just some of the many attractions of a town, which is rich in historical, artistic and architectural heritage, but which also celebrates handed down religious festivals and noteworthy folk and wine and food traditions.
Civitella Cesi, an authentic and wild village, amidst Mediterranean scrub, pastures, crops and ancient Etruscan and mediaeval settlements, is a hamlet in the municipality of Blera, which it is 9 km away from, at an altitude of 180 m above sea level and it has 300 inhabitants.
