Itinerary suitable for everyone to discover a Natural Monument of great beauty.
An immersive walk in nature, among centuries-old beech trees and fresh air, an ideal destination for lovers of hiking and natural beauty.
The Natural Monument Faggeta di Allumiere is a protected area located in the territory of the municipality of Allumiere. It was established in 1997 with the aim of protecting one of the most important and best preserved beech woods in central Italy. The beech forest covers an area of about 400 hectares and is considered one of the oldest forests in the Lazio region, with some beech specimens over 500 years old. It consists mainly of beech trees, but there are also other tree essences such as oaks, manna ash, maples and hornbeams. A walk in the Allumiere beech forest is a unique and unforgettable experience. You enter a world of peace and tranquillity, surrounded by centuries-old trees and unspoiled nature, a place where nature shows itself in all its beauty and majesty.
The scent of damp earth and wood mixes with that of wild aromas. The silence is broken only by birdsong and the rustle of leaves. Walking through the paths you can admire breathtaking views and discover the beauty of plants and flowers.
The gaze is lost among the very high trunks of the beech trees, the fronds that create shadows and plays of light on the ground, the rustling of the leaves in the wind.
A regenerating walk that gives energy and serenity.
