A splendid group SUP archaeological excursion among the archaeological remains of the north coast of Rome, in Santa Severa.
Fantastic unique experience of its kind, to visit the Castle of Santa Severa and its beauties from an unusual point of view.
The Castle of Santa Severa dates back to the 14th century, where the town of Pyrgi once stood, a port link with nearby Caere (Cerveteri), subsequently the area was converted first into a Roman castrum and then into a medieval village. The manor majestically overlooks the sea and is part of a cultural center where there are various museums including the National Antiquarium Museum of Pyrgi (archaeological area with temples), the Museum of the Sea and Ancient Navigation, and the New Museum of the Rocca.
Starting in sup, covering a few hundred meters, you can observe the seabed between the Castle of Santa Severa and the emporic sanctuary of Pyrgi, for an extension of about 250×150 meters. This area is very rich in archaeological evidence.
Currently many archaeological remains from various eras (from the Etruscan to the Renaissance) are visible and can be admired during the excursion.
