This experience is centered on an exciting food and wine taste tour inside the old farmhouses and the distillery. Tourists will taste the spirits of the famous label NUMA, some among the best-awarded spirits in the world.
At the end of the tour, guests can enjoy the delicacies of the farm’s country cuisine with a typical local dinner and spend the night at the Valle del Marta. The following day, breakfast will be served with homemade cakes, cold cuts and cheeses. This tour can be chosen before and after the cruise. Transfers to/from the port or airport can also be added to the tour by Valle del Marta’s private shuttlebus.
From September 2023 a new cycle of activities for the cruise passengers who get yearly to the Port of Civitavecchia will begin.
These activities, conceived as a valid alternative to the more traditional ones (e.g., a day trip to Rome), will take place in a setting immersed in the green countryside of Etruria, the “Valle del Marta” farm in Tarquinia (15 minutes from the port).
In particular, the tour consists of a visit to the NUMA distillery – a brandy who won 20 times the San Francisco World Spirits Competition –, the first in Italy of its kind. The tour will focus on the production of liqueurs and distillates according to ancient traditions.
