Tarquinia: around the historic centre

A route to discover the charming historic centre of Tarquinia.

The itinerary starts from the Infopoint, where it is possible to rent audioguides in Italian and English
describing the sites on the route, and with a circular route you can reach the sites that are about 5
minutes apart on foot.
It includes three monuments from the medieval period:

• Tower known as Torrione di Matilde di Canossa with a circular layout, with the option to climb to the top via stairs and a walkway on the walls
  
• Chiesa di San Giacomo
  
• Chiesa del Salvatore
  
• Palazzo Bruschi-Falgari, a 19th century monument housing the 'V.Cardarelli' municipal library, whose frescoed Gallery and Salone delle Feste and Cellars can be viewed (alternating with the Torrione at certain times of the year).
